LITTLE BRITAIN, ON, February 11, 2020 – Today Is #SaferInternetDay
Every second day of the second week of the second month of the year, is Safer Internet Day. Today, people and organizations around the world join forces to help make the online world a safer place for young people.
This annual celebration aims to raise awareness of the importance of both a safer and a better internet, where everyone is empowered to use technology responsibly, respectfully, critically and creatively. It aims to reach out to children and young people, parents, teachers, educators and social workers, as well as industry, decision makers and politicians, to encourage everyone to play their part in creating a better internet.
“Everyone has a responsibility to make a positive difference online. I hope families take a few minutes to learn more about Safer Internet Day and encourage their children to always be respectful online.” said Dan Risebrough Barnes.
